Communications and Events Specialist

Job Description

Assists in the development of all internal communications including intranet, plasma boards and email

Works diligently to support the S.H.O.W. Service Basic Standards culture and team philosophy throughout the property

Maintains content and systems for, plasma boards and other communication vehicles as assigned

Assists team members on how to use internal communication systems

Coordinates team member meetings, administration of years of service and recognition programs

Coordinates internal events including, but not limited to, Blood Drives, Golf Tournament, Halloween Costume Contest, Bus trips and Citywide Events as directed.

Responsible for making (hotel, dinner and spa) reservations in hotel reservation system for event prize winners

Performs other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Bachelors Degree or equivalent with at least 3 years experience in a Human Resources or Marketing function and a focus on communications

Ability to communicate effectively in English

Ability to effectively communicate in written format

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and desktop publishing applications – including Desktop Publisher and In Design.
