Employment Coordinator (seasonal)

Job Description

Assists with daily work related to employment processing for new hires, rehires and transfer, to include completion of all paperwork, documents, licensing as required. Processes new hires in accordance with company policy and procedures along with state and federal guidelines. Orders and gathers various pre-employment testing documents as required. Reviews and checks completed paperwork.

Checks form I-9 (employment eligibility verification form) for accuracy and completion. Continually monitors and keeps accurate records of all form I9s ensuring timely completion of document. Maintains form I-9 information in accordance with policies and procedures. Participates in form I9 reviews on a regular basis.

Reviews new hire documents and inputs new hire information into the HRIS system. Ensures that all information is inputted correctly, notifications are sent and tracks work progress and follow-up.

Schedule new hires for Company New Hire Orientation. Coordinate, prepare and track new hire orientation schedule, wardrobe name tag orders and ID cards.

Reviews weekly reports and follow-up on work authorization cards and Visas with expiration dates to ensure employees have been properly notified and documents have been properly renewed.

Assists applicants via phone and in-person through the on-line application process; including registration, completing the application, applying for job positions and scheduling of interviews for Recruitment Specialist. Reviews with new hires Borgata’s pre-employment process and procedures.

Assists with recruitment and interviewing as required to assist recruiters. Assists with job postings to colleges, universities, job posting boards in public and private sector, technical schools and other agencies. Assist with International student and college recruitment process.

Attend off-site recruiting events as needed,

Responsible for the day to day activities related to unemployment claims administration. Works with management and the unemployment claims administrator to ensure proper administration of claims. Gathers information needed for claims hearings and appeals. Provides the unemployment claims administrator with appropriate documents for unemployment hearings. Coordinates, scheduling and providing managers with information needed to serve as witness at unemployment claims hearings. Follows up with unemployment claims administrator to ensure claims resolution. Maintains documentation needed to assure compliance with claims administration initiatives.

Prepares reports as requested from Employment Center Manger or Director.

Works diligently to support the S.H.O.W. Service Basic Standards culture and team philosophy throughout the property

Job Requirements


Prior experience and knowledge of recruitment preferred.

Two years relevant experience in Human Resources using HRIS systems such as VISTA and PeopleSoft preferred. 

Must be detail oriented, with solid organizational and time management skills.

Demonstrated experience administering and maintaining the Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9.

Demonstrated ability to use a computer, Microsoft Office applications and Internet.

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of team members. 

Knowledge of employment law and federal requirements in employment a plus.

Ability to handle confidential information in an appropriate manner.

Proven ability to effectively interact with team members and management.
