JOB DESCRIPTION:
POSITION DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include, but are not limited to the following:

Responsible for providing direct supervision and guidance for the usher and box office staff.

Works diligently to support the “Borgata and MGM” culture and team philosophy throughout the property.

Acts as a role model to all employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Borgata and encourages others to do the same.

Ensures that each team member clearly understands and is held accountable for their respective performance expectations.

Helps to maintain and enhance a safe, secure and comfortable environment for our guests and employees.

Assists with preparation of department work schedules.

Insures proper service to all guests through effective leadership of usher and box office staff.

Maintains knowledge of company policies, team member duties and organizational structure of the hotel.

Assists with the administration of performance evaluations and makes recommendations for hiring and firing.

Effectively handles any situation concerning guest and team members, resolution of disputes, seating requirements and other matters pertaining to the satisfaction of the customer.

Coaches and directs staff to maintain high level of customer service as measured by guest surveys, comments and correspondence.

Works with customer care, entertainment and casino marketing teams to ensure a superior customer service.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
 
Must be able to work extensively with employees in a coaching, mentoring, training and a disciplinary capacity.
 
Must be able to handle a high degree of administrative work which requires repetitive finger and wrist motion(keyboard data entry), as well as prolonged viewing of data on the computer monitor.
 
Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.
 
Ability to effectively communicate in English.

Strong leadership, supervisory and communications skills.

Box Office experience or equivalent hotel /casino experienced preferred.

Displays cordial, poised and friendly personality.
