Assumes overall responsibilities of supervisor when supervisor is not present

Assists supervisor during training and hiring of count room staff

Responsible for overall equipment procedures and maintenance when supervisor is not present

Ensures development and effective performance of direct report staff

Designs and issues internal management reports

Analyzes operational results and initiates change for maximum efficiency

Participates in the removal of slot cash storage boxes from slot machines in accordance to DGE regulations

Operates counting equipment

Transports trolleys and coin to approved storage areas

Adheres to DGE regulations and internal policies

Daily count and recording of currency, coupons, gaming vouchers and casino documents contained in casino drop boxes and slot cash storage boxes

Clear verbal communication, regarding surveillance procedures

Works diligently to support the “One Borgata Way” culture and team philosophy throughout the property

Maintains confidentiality of all Borgata trade secrets and proprietary information including business processes, customer lists, marketing plans and any other confidential information

Coordinates count room activity with casino operational departments in the proper completion and control of related documents in accordance with state regulations and internal controls

Ensures that all activities reflect the policies, philosophies and regulations of the Company/property/department as well as compliance with all Division regulations

Assist in supervising count room attendants to ensure compliance with existing policies and procedures

Responsible for staffing, training and directing count room attendants when supervisor is not present

Circulates assigned area and observes staff performing normal job duties, offering positive and corrective feedback as needed. 

Monitors employees in order to assess training needs

Promotes positive public relations

Creates a memorable guest and employee experience by effectively aligning the people, product, and processes to deliver on the promises made to our internal and external guests

Maintains the utmost in integrity and the highest caliber of customer service

Develops enduring professional relationships with Division, promotes positive public relations, and presents one’s self as a credit to the Borgata organization

Assist in the organizing, coordinating and defining all activities that deal with personnel, customer relations, count room equipment and all administrative duties associated with the daily operation

Must be able to stand at workstation for extended periods of time

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time during soft count drops

Must be able to stand at workstation for extended periods of time

Must be able to twist and bend while standing in order to access contains in slot cash storage boxes

Must have the manual dexterity to allow for inputting of data into counting equipment in soft count for extended periods of time

Must be able lift up to 75 lbs (unassisted)

Must have the ability to work in locked/secured areas for extended periods of time

Must have the manual dexterity to allow for sorting, counting and compiling of currency, paper documents for extended periods of time

Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/ or unusual hours

Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to second hand smoke, excessive noise, and stress related to servicing customers in a high pressure and fast paced environment


Minimum of three years related experience

Strong organizational, motivational and managerial skills required

Have the ability and motivation to be a working supervisor

Knowledge of DGE count-room regulations

Ability to qualify for casino key license

Must possess excellent oral and written skills and have the ability to logically and independently plan, organize, and complete assigned task

Must have well developed inter-personal skills

Show initiative and the ability to set and achieve high standards of performance

Excellent analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills

Ability to direct a work force, provides support to staff, and delegate job duties

Ability to perform the manipulation of numbers and basic mathematical calculations
