JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

Manages General Ledger and Accounts Payable departments

Manages 5 day month–end close which may include weekend days or holidays. 

Prepares and reviews journal entries and account analyses.

Manages daily, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.

Ensures timeliness and accuracy of internal management reports.

Manages daily cash and debt activity.

Monitors Sarbanes Oxley internal controls.

Ensures development and effective performance of direct report staff.

Analyzes operational results and initiates change for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

Utilizes technology effectively to accomplish objectives.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

QUALIFICATIONS:

State the minimum qualifications required to successfully perform the job. These are the qualifications that are necessary for someone to be considered for the job.  Qualifications include:

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Business, Accounting or related discipline.

Three to five years related industry experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.

Previous supervisory experience required.

Must possess strong verbal and written communication, managerial and organizational skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office software especially Excel.

Proficiency with general ledger software and related processes.

CPA license preferred but not mandatory.
