JOB DESCRIPTION:

While acting  in the role of Casino Cashiering Shift Manager this person is responsible for Casino Cashiering on shift basis, (main cage, satellite cages and slot booths), kiosk machines and pit services (markers, table fills and credits)

Supervises and schedules the casino cashiering department incuding the  pit service personnel to insure efficient operations in providing excellent customer relations

Manage and maintain the integrity of the casino cashiering department

Creates a memorable guest and employee experience by effectively aligning the people, product, and processes that are the foundation of the Borgata culture.  Maintains the utmost integrity, promoting the highest caliber of customer service.  Develops enduring relationships with guests, promotes positive public relations and presents one’s self as a credit to the Borgata organization

Ability to develop employees by clearly articulating company and department goals and objectives, providing positive and corrective coaching as needed

Works to improve operations through ongoing evaluation of work processes and available resources

Assists in the development of the department's strategic operating plan and capital budget

Develops training programs with an emphasis on customer service and supervisory leadership

Oversees department staffing levels, making appropriate adjustments and recommendations to scheduling personnel on all shifts

Monitors existing internal controls for efficiency and effectiveness  

Develops a strong working relationship with all department employees through open communication and an approachable demeanor

Ensures that all department activities reflect the policies, philosophies, and regulations of the company/property/department as well as compliance with all DGE regulations

Maintains the integrity of all gaming activity

Responsible for ensuring all cashiering kiosk machines (TR & JP machines) are operating with DGE approved internal controls, company policies and procedures

Adhere to all Federal and State regulatory compliance guidelines relating to gaming and licensee requirements

Adheres to Title 31 CTR & SAR Reporting requirements

Adheres to Title 26 (W2G & 1042S) Reporting requirements

Assists in drop, replacement and maintenance of the kiosk

Ability to operate calculators, currency counters, jet sorts, coin wrappers, and strap counters

Ability to work under sometimes stressful situations with customers and large sums of money

Must be mobile to work all areas

Ability to visually identify people, documents, equipment and their relevant parts

Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/ or unusual hours

Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to stress related to servicing customers in a high pressure and fast paced environment

Stand an entire shift and move throughout the casino

Any additional duties as assigned by the Director of Casino Cashiering or above 


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

High School diploma / College degree (may substitute additional experience in lieu of degree)

Minimum of five years related experience with a minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a licensed NJ casino

Strong organizational, motivational and managerial skills required

Must possess excellent oral and written skills

Ability to logically and independently plan, organize and complete assigned task

Must have well developed inter-personal skills, show initiative and the ability to set and achieve high standards of performance

Excellent analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills

Ability to direct a work force, provide support to staff and delegate job duties

Excellent analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills

Proficiency with MS Office especially MS Excel and Word

Ability to qualify for casino key license
