Statement of Purpose
This position manages and coordinates project and program management services across IT. The role interacts with functional/business unit leadership across the organization to align with business objectives and priorities. The role is also responsible for analyzing potential projects, forecasting and reporting of the operational budget for the IT department, and leadership of quality assurance (QA) systems in accordance with the business strategy.
Manage a portfolio of project and program management services (project analysis, project execution, project delivery) for the enterprise (not just related to IT).
Ensure that investments and initiatives in project management services are aligned with business strategy and priorities. Collaborate with peers in IT to develop and manage project and program budgeting and cost estimation approaches, and resource allocation.
Create, monitor and maintain project performance metrics including actual effort and financial expenditures for the projects. Establish a reporting process that provides for detailed project level reporting.
Establish standards for project management methodology and Best Practices to be used throughout the organization. Monitor and ensure adherence to methodology across all projects.
Work with internal IT departments to refine resource forecasting and utilization analysis procedures. Monitor and ensure adherence to procedures.
Carries supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects ranging in scope and size
Ability to manage software projects using industry standard tools and methodologies
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems;
5-8 years of applicable business experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
5 or more years of project management experience
PMI certification preferred
