STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
Responsible for pre-operations inspection and all associated paperwork; deals with USDA on all aspects of quality control.
Evaluation of all incoming ingredients, line evolutions.
Responsible for humane handling audits and sample requests
Other miscellaneous job duties may include, but not limited to: writing specs, data entry, filing, computer work (Excel, Work, Power Point, etc.)
Must be available for outside traveling for training purposes as required
Perform work accurately and thoroughly
Ability to organize and direct oneself
Back up to QA : QA Supervisor; QA Technician
Comply with applicable environment, health and safety rules, procedures, laws and accepted safe work practices.
Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to the appropriate person or office.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Two year Associates degree/or Technical School; Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university is preferred, and/or two to four years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Employee is regularly exposed to wet and humid conditions. Employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and high precarious place, outdoor weather conditions, vibration and risk of electrical shock.
The noise level in the plant environment is usually loud and hearing protection is required.
