STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
Pick products from stock locations to fill customer orders.  Pack products in uniform manner to ensure ability to verify accuracy at time of shipping.
 
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  1. Daily performance of pulling correct products from correct locations as directed by computerized scanning system and verification of same
 
  1. Responsible for staging pulled orders in proper sequence to ease loading for transportation to customers
 
  1. Operates pallet jack and/or fork lift in the performance of duties
 
  1. Comply with applicable environment, health and safety rules, procedures, laws and accepted safe work practices
 
  1. Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and injuries to the appropriate person or office
 
KNOWLEDGE:
  • Requires basic math skills
 
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks and requires ability to work in extreme cold for extended periods
 
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
 
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
 
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
 
  • Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
 
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions
 
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
