The Pharmacy Technician reports to the Pharmacist All Bashas’ Pharmacy Technicians are either Certified Technicians or Technician Trainees in accordance with current rules and regulations of the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist on duty in all of the tasks permitted by law and includes, but is not limited to, the following duties and responsibilities. The entire staff is responsible for good housekeeping. Comply with all applicable federal and state laws and the rules and regulations of the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy. Assure customer satisfaction through pleasant and efficient service, both on the telephone and in person. Perform counter service. Receive prescriptions and check patient information. Ring sales on the register and complete sales transactions of cash, credit or debit. Properly log all third party transactions at the window. Direct customers to the location of OTC items. Telephone service: respond to all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner. Handle patient calls or direct them to the pharmacist or other area of the store if appropriate. Take patient refill requests over the telephone. Call doctor’s offices with refill requests. Direct doctor’s office calls to the pharmacist or pharmacy intern. Accept verbal authorization for refill prescriptions. Maintain computer patient files and prescription labels. Prescription preparation. Count, pour and reconstitute drugs with pharmacist verification. Affix prescription labels. Bag completed prescriptions and place them in the pick-up section
All candidates must have excellent customer service skills, reliable transportation, and must pass a drug and/or background screen. Must be a licensed Pharmacy tecnician (certified or trainee) in the state of Arizona. Must be 18 years old to apply
