JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary

This position is responsible for guests’ keys/tickets systematically to insure efficient retrieval of guests’ vehicles.
 
 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Files guests’ keys/tickets systematically to insure efficient retrieval of guests’ vehicles.
  • Ensures files properly reflect the location of all vehicles parked on the valet lot.
  • Maintains ongoing inventory board to keep track of available spaces and locations.
  • Ensures parking tickets have been completed correctly by the Valet Attendant.
  • Maintain records of total cars parked and delivered by each attendant and overall totals for the day.
  • Offers information to guests regarding directions, transportation, and Star Awards.
  • Maintains a complete supply of brochures, valet tickets, office supplies, and current promotions.
  • Responsible for money handling of a cash drawer of two hundred dollars, and accountability for those funds through audit and financial controls.
  • Carries out duties of Valet Attendant including parking/retrieval of vehicles as necessary.
  •  Carries out duties of Coat Room Attendant as necessary to cover break periods.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Math skills required to provide accurate change.
  • Professional appearance, mature attitude, and working knowledge of the area.
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 20 pounds, carry up to 10 pounds, and possess the mobility and dexterity to meet the demands incumbent to this position.
  • Must be able to stand 100% of shift.
  • Driving record must meet eligibility requirements of Ameristar’s insurance policy.

Required Education and Work Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  •  Previous cash handling experience preferred.
