Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Ensures the security and safety of the guests, team members, cash and physical assets of Spa Resort Casino and Hotel. 



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

.  Monitors performance of subordinates, ensuring adherence to Casino policies and Procedures. 

.  Prepares the schedules of the Security Officers. 

.  Assists in developing and implementing policies and procedures for the Security Department. 

.  Ensures the integrity of gambling, banking, count-room and cash handling Procedures. 

.  Maintains and controls access to restricted Casino areas. 

.  Ensures the safety of guests and team members during Casino and Hotel operations. 

.  Maintains Security Department First Aid supplies. 

.  Maintains all required Security Department Logs. 

.  Completes reports for Lost and Found Property. 

.  Fosters and maintains positive player/house relations. 

.  Will perform the duties and functions of a Security Officer when assigned or required. 



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises Security subordinate supervisors and employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or G.E.D.  Three (3) years experience in Security/Law Enforcement and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must be able to communicate in English.  Must meet certification criteria (First Aid, CPR and AED).  Possession of P.O.S.T certifications, or P.C. 832 training is desired, but not required.



WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ mile, climbing stairs, and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift.  Must be able to work in a smoke filled environment.  Must be able to work in a “lighting subdued” environment for extended periods of time.  Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions to include extreme heat and cold weather. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but will escalate when located in the casino environment.  Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to:  a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
