Job Description Summary

 

Manages work activities of cleaning personnel of the EVS/ housekeeping department by performing the following:



Essential Duties and Responsibilities(other duties may be assigned)

 

 



  • Supervises preparation of work schedules for EVS staff


  • Trains staff in all necessary EVS tasks according to EVS procedures


  • Monitors performance of staff and adherence to casino policies and procedures


  • Maintains and updates cleaning supplies inventory.  Submits requisitions for cleaning supplies and equipment to the Executive Housekeeper


  • Coordinates activities of outside vendors providing  services and/or equipment for casino environment


  • Supervise EVS staff making decisions regarding hiring, terminating and all coaching and counseling.


  • Provides excellent guest service.


  • Must adhere to all Tribal Ordinance, Regulations, and the SRC system of Internal Controls, and SOP’s


 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

 

Supervise the EVS Department and at times the Housekeeping Department.

Job Requirements:
Required Education and/or Experience

 

 



  • High school diploma or GED


  • 6-8 years related experience


  • Must be able to communicate, understand and write in English


  • Must have knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment 




Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

 

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and property, including walking up to 1 ½ miles, climbing stairs, and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift.  Must be able to work in a smoke filled environment.

 

Typically the individual will be housed in an office environment.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but will escalate when located in the casino environment.  Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to a computer, keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
