Job Description Summary
 
Pick up incoming mail from the various entities affiliated with ACBCI including but not limited to:  Tribal Offices, Central Operations, Indian Canyons Golf Resort, Agua Caliente Gaming Commission, Spa Resort Casino and Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa.  Sort and deliver mail and packages as needed.Assists in producing written/verbal communications, maintain confidential files, records and reports.  Provides clerical assistance to Human Resources staff. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities(other duties may be assigned) 
  • Effectively deal with internal/external guests, ability to communicate effectively, utilizing patience, tact and diplomacy as needed. 
  • Answer the telephone and provide information as needed.
  • Operate letter opener, truck, hand truck, flat bed, and mail cart to process and deliver mail
  • Sort and distribute mail throughout the properties.
  • Collect all outgoing mail and process for individual administrative areas.
  • Make daily run for drop-off of outgoing mail to Post Office.
  • Assists with clerical duties where needed, including filing, creating files, processing of HR documents, and special projects.
  • Complies with all applicable Tribal Regulations, internal controls, and policies and procedures. 

    CASINO EXPERIENCE NOT REQUIRED

Requires a valid California Driver’s License
 
Education and/or Experience
 
HS Diploma or GED.
 
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
 
To perform this job successfully, the individual must me able to stand, move and work throughout the
office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ mile during 100% of shift, climbing stairs 15% of shift and/or sitting at a desk/work station.  The individual must be able to perform duties within hot, normal, and cold temperature ranges, maintain attendance in conformance with standards, and maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Also may be subjected to a smoke filled environment.
 
Typically the individual will be housed in an office environment.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but will escalate when located in the casino environment.  Must have the ability to grasp, bend, stoop, reach, kneel, crouch, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a minimum of 25 lbs on a continuous schedule.The individual must be able reach overhead on an intermittent basis. Must have sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to:  a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
