Job Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Analyze a wide variety of realty lease documents and transactions; extensive research; correct data entry errors; attendance at Staff and Trust meetings; direct interaction with BIA and LTRO staff.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)



  • Data entry into a Federal system


  • Correct existing and identified defects


  • Review documents and data entry for defects


  • Create reports


  • Extensive Records Research


  • Maintain Trust records


  • File creation, clean-up and maintenance and converting document files for upload 




 
Job Requirements:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE



  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Business Law preferred


  • Education requirement may be satisfied with a minimum of four (4) years of closely related experience including at least two (2) years of experience in loan processing, lending


  • Experience with BIA realty programs a plus


  • Must be able to read, understand and implement Federal regulations and procedural manuals


  • Strong working knowledge of legal descriptions


  • Ability to work independently.  Must be diligent, consistent and focused


  • Candidate must possess excellent verbal communication skills, demonstrated technical writing abilities and research skills


  • Excellent computer skills required; knowledge of BIA TAAMS operating system a plus


  • Candidate must be able to obtain Bureau of Indian Affair security clearance
