Job Description Summary


Training Specialist is responsible for delivering instructor-led, online, or on-the-job training programs in support of the Learning and Development department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

  • Facilitate team member training which engages the learner and produces the desired business outcome.

  • Provide the resources and tools (handouts, visual aids, training material, training aids) required to engage team members in the classroom.

  • Keeps training materials and accompanying information updated and current.

  • Schedule and maintain training classes.

  • Track and maintain training progress of team members in the training database.

  • Project a positive company image at all times.

  • Must comply with all applicable ACCRS and SRC System of Internal Controls, Standard Operating Procedures and all Tribal Regulations.

Job Requirements:
Required Education and/or Experience


  • 4 year college degree in Human Resources, psychology, business administration or related field; or combination of education and experience.

  • 1 year experience in delivering training curriculum; experience with the resort and gaming industry is a plus.

  • On-the-job training experience and blended delivery as well as classroom experience is a plus.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, visual, and written communications skills

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Proficient with MS Office products

  • Must be able to communicate in English; bilingual a plus


  • Working Conditions/Physical Demands


    To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ mile, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift.  Must be able to work in a smoke filled environment.


    Typically the individual will be housed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but will escalate when located in the casino environment.  Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
