JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Takes reservations for the hotel. Helps implement room inventory, room blocks, direct bill accounts for all forms of hotel reservations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

. Analyzes and organizes office operations and procedures such as bookkeeping, preparation of
payroll, personnel, information management, filing systems, requisition of supplies, and other clerical
. Maximizes office productivity through proficient use of appropriate software application(s).
. Monitor and analyzes room inventories to maximize occupancy and increase average rate. Check with
a Director of Hotel Operations, General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or Hotel Manager
before you make any changes on the rate board. When required makes decisions on own that relate
to yield management.
. Answer the telephones promptly using appropriate greeting in three rings or less.
. Assigned reservation based on availability and guest preference.
. Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome using a positive and clear
speaking voice, Use positive body language.
. Help train new and existing employees for the efficient operation of the department.
. Assists in establishing rates, yielding, inputting rooming lists and aiding Sales.
. Works closely with marketing implementing hotel reservation promotions.
. Helps Manager with room blocks, cutoff dates, inventories and related rates daily.
. Work within policies of gift certificate programs. ? Must understand and implement direct bill
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with the requirements of knowledge, skills, and/or ability to effectively deal with external and internal customers.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
To perform this job successfully, the individual must me able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift. Typically the individual will be housed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but will escalate when located in the casino environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
