Job Description:

Job Description Summary

Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of software products used at the casino, including troubleshooting, user management, and enhancements. Evaluates current system design, and coordinates implementation of product, product upgrades, and/or procedural changes. Executes tasks associated with project plans created in conjunction with the Central Applications Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

• Evaluates  business requirements and interprets them into written design and technical specifications to support business needs.

• Assist in the formulation of project plans by outlining steps required to develop solutions using structured analysis and design.

• Performs technical tasks to develop, maintain, test, and deploy software applications.

• Maximizes software performance by working with the Central IT Engineering Department to perform software maintenance on Windows 20xx/20xx servers. Provides hardware support as needed.

• Coordinates the development and implementation of training programs to assist in on-going operations.

• Provides an expert functional IT resource to end users on various hospitality and business systems that include but not limited to; IGT Advantage, Micros Opera, Infogenesis, SpaSoft, etc.

• Updates the Central Application Manager and Helpdesk on the status of HelpStar work orders, while at the same time acting as a liaison between software vendors and the business as needed.

Job Requirements:

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma or G.E.D with a preference for a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Information Technology. 

• 2-3 years experience as a Business Systems Analysis, with experience in requirement gathering and analysis, project planning, software implementation, and limited programming.

• Must have knowledge of industry related software, including InfoGenesis, OPERA, Berg Systems, SpaSoft, WSS Web Booking, nStreams, IGT Advantage Patron Management, Crystal Reports and EZ-Pay.

• Must have excellent communication skills, good organizational skills as well as interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the

office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ mile, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/work

station for the duration of the shift.  Must be able to work in a smoke filled environment.

Typically the individual will be housed in an office environment.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but will escalate when located in the casino environment.  Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to:  a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
