Job Description Summary
Directs and coordinates activities of the casino to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits by performing the following duties through subordinate supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
• Plans, develops and implements casino policies and goals.
• Coordinates activities of all departments to effect operation efficiency and economy.
• Directs and coordinates promotion of the casino to develop new markets, increase share market and 
  obtain a competitive position in the area.
• Establishes the budget for approval by the Tribal Council and meets with them on a regular basis.
• Establishes the budget for approval by the Tribal Council and carefully monitors flow of revenue and 
  expenditures on a regular basis.
• Assisted by the Controller, develops and maintains internal controls to ensure the security and integrity 
  of cash handling.
• Assisted by the Director of Security, develops and maintains procedures that ensure the physical 
  security of the premises, the safety of customers and employees, the prevention of fraud and honesty 
  of all games.
• Develops and monitors casino procedures to meet the requirements of the Agua Caliente Gaming 
• Ensures the production of regular and special reports on all aspects of the casino.
• Supervises the training and skill development of all casino employees, directly and indirectly preparing 
   them for additional responsibilities.
• Oversees the conduct of pre-employment and on the job training.
• Overall direction of marketing and promotion programs, including advertising, special events, and 
  complimentary use.
• Exercises final authority over the hiring and termination of all shift and hourly rate employees and 
  makes recommendations on the continued employment of salaried employees.
• Ste the policies and procedures for the acquisition, protection, maintenance and disposal of physical 
• Confers with administrative personnel and reviews activity, operating and marketing reports to 
  determine changes in programs or operations required.
• Directs preparation of directives to department managers outlining policy, program or operations 
  changes to be implemented.
• Provides excellent guest service.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages all department Directors, who supervise employees in their respective departments. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a four year college or university; 4 to 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ mile, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift.  Must be able to work in a smoke filled environment.
Typically the individual will be housed in an office environment.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but will escalate when located in the casino environment.  Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
