HR Benefit Consultant

Description:

Provides and interprets employee/employer HR/Benefit regulatory analysis with the goal of providing AF with business opportunities. Develops education, consultation and communication to employer/employee customers that will give them guidance.

Maintains and helps develop and execute HR/Benefit administration services strategies that align with company growth initiatives. Serves as an expert in turning complex administration or legislation into opportunities to grow AF's business.

Provides consulting assistance to employers, divisions and associations on HR/Benefit administration, design, strategy and compliance.

Develops HR/Benefit administration resources including leave administration guidance for employers by researching, interpreting and giving presentations to employers, and AFA third-party partners. Serves as the consultative expert to our customers in the sales process.

Requirements:

Juris Doctorate

Must have strong Human Resources/benefit regulator expertise needed, including leave administration

Must have successful business development experience

Must have 10 or more years of experience in HR/employee benefits consultation and/or regulatory (law), which must include actively monitoring legislative and regulatory developments and drafting summaries and providing compliance assistance to employers in connection with the same

Must also have experience in providing HR/Benefit consulting to employers, including advising on compliance and other service

Must have advanced skills and experience developing relationships and delivering top quality Customer service

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills needed to convey detailed and complicated messages to varied audiences

Must have interest and extensive experience in public speaking on HR/Benefit related issues

Must be able to understand and apply complex legal rules and interpretations to a variety of fact patterns and have strong problem-solving skills

Must be able to work effectively with others

Must be able to learn new information quickly

Must be self-directed

Must be able to effectively manage people, if applicable

Must be licensed as an attorney in at least one state in the U.S
