  • Leadership, oversight and responsibility for direction and results for the functions of AF’s Total Rewards, Talent Management and Technical departments.
  • Establish and execute Human Capital Management strategy through understanding current and future business needs, and use of data and related analytics which support and inform workforce planning efforts.
  • Assist with establishing the direction and implementation of strategies that support the Employer of Choice corporate initiative in relation to the departments this position oversees.



  • Strong understanding of human resources regulations and compliance knowledge (all areas benefits, compensation, leaves, EEO, recruiting, discrimination, etc.)
  • Very sophisticated knowledge of compensation, benefits and total rewards strategy, design, measurement and implementation
  • Experience in designing, measuring and implementing retirement and pension plans as well as working knowledge of stock plans
  • Strong analytical, strategy development and problem-solving skills
  • Strong operational and HRIS knowledge
  • Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently
  • Evidence of working effectively in a team environment is essential
  • Effective communication (verbal and written), facilitation, persuasion, negotiation and presentation skills 
  • Understanding of establishing measurements and practices that are aligned with company goals
  • Proven ability to grow and mentor team
