Customer Experience Internship

The Customer Experience internship is a paid program where students will develop business communications skills and gain corporate experience at a national headquarters. Selected interns will learn about American Fidelity products and medical terminology, work closely with a coach and communicate to Customers, via phone or email. Interns will make $12/hour and may receive a retention bonus after a certain amount of time in their position. Students will be allowed to work a maximum of 20 hours per week.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:  

  • Responding to Customer emails/calls
  • Answer Customer calls regarding status of their claim
  • Proactively educating Customers on tools and resources
  • Answering simple policy questions for Customers


The ideal candidate:

  • Is enrolled in a university program 
  • Has a desire to learn corporate culture and commit for a two-year timeline
  • Is customer focused – enjoys engaging with people via phone and written via email
  • Possesses excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Is flexible to adapt to serve Customers and team goals
  • Has the technical skills required for navigation in multiple systems and learning new technology
