*Direct and oversee the implementation and management of the AFA COBRA Administration service including oversight of compliance, state and federal COBRA law, the continued maximization of process efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring the goals, mission and objectives of AFA are achieved, and to ensure that the Customer is treated fairly by meeting their needs and exceeding their expectations. *Responsible for all coordination and management of employer services provided to employer groups by AFA, such as COBRA Administration, Platform use, Dependent Verification Review and other Employer Services to ensure the Division and company strategy are met. Involved from initial oboarding of services and administration through cost analysis for after-implementation review. *Supports new process development, and improving current processes, through writing / modifying procedures for colleague performance needs as well as MAR documentation. Also analyzes process flow for staffing and cost analysis, assembles task flow, and determines staffing requirements.


Bachelor’s Degree From Four-Year College or University Business, Human Resources, Insurance area of study required Human Resources and COBRA Administration experience Must have a minimum of 3 years experience working in employee benefits with COBRA Administration experience and knowledge of COBRA federal and state laws. Knowledge of employee benefits including, but not limited to, medical and dental plans. Must have good project, organizational, and time-management skills. Must be self-directed. Must able to facilitate collaborative effort among team members. Must have strong analystical skills. Knowledge of Affordable Care Act requirements. Absolute discretion in handling highly confidential PHI Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Power Point) Ability to read and understand technical information. Attention to detail. Excellent oral and written skills; excellent grammar and strong presentation skills. Ability to work with multiple customers directly to provide excellent customer service, to establish new groups for Employer Services and to handle disgruntled customers at the employer and employee level. COBRA Certified Administrator (HR designation through HR Certifications of ASTD Certificate Institute) preferred. If candidate does not hold prior to obtaining job needs to be willing to work towards certification. Will also be required to maintain Continuing Education requirements.
